MERRY XMAS TO ALL BLUE LINERS

December 14, 2009

Well, it may be the age of progress but this year seems to have progressed faster than any. We are just over a week out from the visit from the ‘big fella’ and then we bid farewell to 2009, where did the year go????

To all Blue Liners and families, I would like to wish everyone a happy and peacefull christmas, and a safe and prosperous new year.

If you are travelling over the holiday period, be safe, take your time and make sure you all get back safe to enjoy our new calendar, which, I might add,  is posted on this site,  just click on the tag above.

To our mates who have to work over the break, again I wish you all a safe time and remember that you are all in our thoughts. Every year since I have retired I always have a special moment that my family and I take the time to remember that not everyone is as priviledged to be home and enjoying the company of their families and unfortunately, this time of year also brings some tragedy in some lives that our mates on deck have to deal with. I ask that all of those that are lucky enough to be at home or with our families, just take a second to spare a thought for the great people and their families that because of their work are kept away from each other to ensure the rest of us have the comfort of being safe to enjoy the season.

I am looking forward to the rides planned for 2010. I will be placing the calendar for the Murray and North Coast mobs up as soon as they are available, but from talking to the coordinators, there are some brilliant trips, other than those already on the site to enjoy. It will be a big year. We will also be involved in no small way with Police Rememberance Day, later in 2010 and I will put more information  out about that later.

I will sign off now and I am looking forward to getting back on the bike on our first ride in 2010 to Forster on the last weekend in January. Just remember who is the bowling champ, meeeee, come on if you recon you are good enough, I’m up for the challenge….lol. Book your bed for Saturday the 30th while there is vacancies at the Forster Palms on 6555 6255.

Merry xmas and a safe and happy new year
